Jagananna Aarogya Suraksha: Over 6 cr health checkups conducted so far

Vijayawada: Jagananna Aarogya Suraksha set a new record by conducting more than 6 crore health checkups in the State.

This includes health checkups and the tests conducted at the doorsteps of people.

As per the health programme taken up by the State government, so far 9,105 health camps were conducted and more than 41 lakh people visited the medical camps. Free consultation was provided to 39.5 lakh people.

It may be noted that Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy launched Jagananna Aarogya Suraksha from his camp office on September 29 with a core objective that no family in Andhra Pradesh suffers due to preventable health challenges regardless of social class, caste, religion, gender or economic background with a determination to bring quality healthcare to every household.

To ensure seamless implementation of the progamme, the medical fraternity across the State has been roped in with specialist doctors from the Indian Medical Association, AP Super Speciality Hospitals Association and NGOs like Red Cross and NSS.
