It is the duty of AIADMK to give Rajya Sabha MP status to AIADMK! – Premalatha Vijayakant
Tamil Nadu : DMDK general secretary Premalatha Vijayakant said it is the duty of the AIADMK to give the DMDK a Rajya Sabha seat as agreed.
In an interview given in Pudukkottai on Thursday: During the last Lok Sabha election, the AIADMK had promised the DMDK that it will give it 5 seats and one Rajya Sabha seat. Trust is important in politics; promises are important. People will trust you only if you fulfil your promises.
The DMDK has been given a Rajya Sabha seat twice before. Once it was given to Anbumani and the other time to GK Vasan. Then we agreed to it as per the talks. Then they promised to give it to us. Now it is our turn. It is their duty to give it to us.
The DMK team has given actor Kamal Haasan a pre-decided Rajya Sabha seat. It is welcome.
We will soon appoint in-charges for all 234 constituencies. We will also form polling booth level committees.
The investigation and verdict in the sexual assault case of a student on Anna University campus is being conducted under the direct supervision of the court. Similarly, it is the duty of the court to find the culprit and punish him, Premalatha Vijayakant said.
