IT building worth Rs 84 crore: CM inaugurated it

Tamil Nadu: Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated a new IT building constructed at a cost of ₹84.42 crore at ELCOT in Sholinganallur, Chennai.
He inaugurated the facility via video conference at a recent event held at the Secretariat.
Press release issued regarding this: The Electronics Corporation of Tamil Nadu (ELCOT) is taking steps to develop the IT sector by building new world-class IT parks across Tamil Nadu.
According to this, ELCOT has established Special Economic Zones in the cities of Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Trichy, Salem, Tirunelveli, and Hosur.
In this regard, a new 11-story, 2.33 lakh square feet information technology building for small, medium, and large enterprises has been constructed at a cost of ₹84.42 crore in the Sholinganallur Special Economic Zone in Chennai.
The building inaugurated by the Chief Minister features an integrated management system, 24-hour security, green energy use, and water management.
The opening of this Information Technology Building will generate employment for approximately 3,000 people.
Information Technology Minister Palanivel Thiagarajan, Chief Secretary N. Muruganantham, Information Technology Secretary Prajendra Navaneetha, and Tamil Nadu Electronics Corporation Managing Director K.P. Karthikeyan attended the event.
