Issues discussed in Guntur Municipal Corporation Council meeting

Guntur: The general body meeting headed by Mayor Kavati Manohar Naidu was held at the Guntur Municipal Corporation Council Hall on Saturday, with a focus on resolving issues in the 57 divisions of the GMC. The meeting discussed 50 of the 77 questions, 150 motions and 11 preambles on the agenda. The main topics included delay in construction of RUBs and ROBs in the city, progress of Amrutha Jal Yojana works in Gorantla, disruption in water supply and improvement in sanitation facilities in slums. The officials agreed to coordinate with MPs, MLAs and the R&B department to expedite the necessary clearances. The Mayor emphasised that development of the city should remain the priority, irrespective of caste or politics. The remaining agenda items will be discussed on Tuesday. GMC Commissioner P Srinivasulu, MLC KS Lakshmana Rao, MLA Galla Madhavi and others were present.
