ISSF World Cup: Rudraksh won bronze in 10m air pistol
Bhopal (IANS) | Reigning world champion Rudranksh Balasaheb Patil has won a bronze medal in the 10m air rifle event at the ISSF World Cup Rifle/Pistol Bhopal, his second medal in the tournament. China, on the other hand, continued their golden campaign by winning both the gold medals at stake for the second day in a row.
China topped the competition with five gold, one silver and two bronze medals after the third day while India stood second with one gold, one silver and three bronze medals.
Rudranksh was fourth in the qualification with a score of 631.0.
In the top eight ranking round of 25 shots, Rudraksh looked out of contention for a medal but came back in contention with a score of 53.5 in the fourth series.
He shot a strong 52.6 while third-placed Yu Haonan of China shot 51.5 to finish fourth. Rudraksh thus won his second and overall fourth World Cup medal. The 19-year-old Indian’s overall score was 262.3.
In the women’s 10m air rifle, Ramita finished among the top eight finishers in the qualification but did not end up with a medal.
