Israel-Hamas war: Ceasefire and hostage exchange likely before March 10

Tel Aviv: The Israeli delegation led by Mossad chief David Barnia and Shin Bet director Ronen Bar has returned to Jerusalem after marathon talks in Paris and Cairo with officials from the US, Qatar and Egypt.
According to Israeli Defense Ministry sources, the Mossad chief has informally briefed members of the Israeli War Cabinet and said that there is a possibility of a ceasefire before the start of the month of Ramadan on March 10. According to Israel Defense Ministry sources, Hamas has almost agreed to all the suggestions put forward by Israel, including the release of all hostages, including the bodies of those killed.
Israel has also informed mediators that if an agreement is not reached, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will intensify ground offensives by Israeli troops into the Rafah area of the Gaza Strip, where a large population of women and children live.
According to available information, the Israeli side has also agreed to rehabilitate displaced Palestinians from Northern Gaza. The Israeli side was led by David Barnia and Ronen Bar. Qatar’s Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Central Intelligence Agency chief William Burns and Egypt’s intelligence chief Abbas Kamel were also involved in the talks.
