Iran-US Agree on Two-Week Ceasefire

It is known that a two-week ceasefire agreement has been reached between Iran and America. With this, normalcy is about to return to West Asia. India has responded to this issue. India has announced that it welcomes the agreement reached between Iran and America. It is of the opinion that this decision will contribute to peace in West Asia. The Union Ministry of External Affairs issued a statement to this effect on Wednesday.

“We welcome the ceasefire. We believe that it will help establish peace in West Asia. We have always said that talks and diplomatic solutions are needed to avoid the current crisis and reduce tensions. People around the world have already faced difficulties due to this crisis. Oil transport and trade have been disrupted. We hope that this ceasefire agreement will lead to free trade activities from the Strait of Hormuz,” the center announced. India has reiterated its commitment to the policy that peace can be achieved through talks and diplomatic means rather than war and the use of force.

The 40-day-long Iran-US war has been temporarily suspended since Wednesday morning. The peace agreement between Iran and the US will continue for two weeks. Before this, the two countries are likely to hold talks in Islamabad, Pakistan. If these talks also come to a conclusion and both countries reach a consensus, there are indications that the war will end permanently.
