Iran: Researchers got success in production of herbal supplements

Tehran Tehran: Researchers at a knowledge-based company in Iran have succeeded in achieving self-sufficiency in the production of herbal supplements for livestock and poultry. By producing herbal supplements for livestock and poultry, this capable domestic knowledge-based company has significantly contributed to saving foreign exchange and reducing production costs, in addition to producing healthy, antibiotic-free chicken. This knowledge-based company was established in 2021 with the aim of producing healthy products for broilers and has taken effective steps to remove chemical and imported drugs from the chicken production cycle by offering six strategic products so far.

Ali Salamat, Chairman of the Company’s Board of Directors, pointed out the importance of taking advantage of domestic capabilities and said, “The company’s products are marketed after ten years of testing in Yazd poultry breeding farms and are based on 100% herbal extracts.” He added that these extracts are added to poultry’s drinking water and are an ideal alternative to drugs. Saving foreign exchange costs, reducing feed conversion ratio, reducing losses, improving meat palatability and eliminating environmentally harmful waste are the major benefits of herbal supplements, the chairman said.
