Since 1950, we have participated in 49 peace missions and have contributed about 2 lakh peacekeepers. Senior Indian police and military officers participate in peace missions. This research paper of Shri Singh will prove to be very useful for foreign policy policy makers, practitioners and students. It will help in increasing the understanding of the elements necessary to establish permanent peace even in violence-affected areas within the country.
