Instructions to prevent dropout in education

Raipur. Governor Ramen Deka reached Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai today on the first day of his two-day visit. During his stay, he held a meeting with the officials and inquired about the development works. In particular, he discussed in detail the progress of the schemes being run in his adopted village Sonpuri. The Governor took stock of the status of basic services like education, health, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, agriculture, horticulture and Jal Jeevan Mission. He said that it is the primary responsibility of the administration to ensure that the benefits of all the schemes reach every villager.

Emphasis on farming and processing

Governor Deka asked to produce tomatoes in the garden in view of the possibilities of tomato cultivation in village Sonpuri. He said that in view of the high production of tomatoes, it is necessary to promote its processing, so that farmers get better prices and the crop is not wasted.

Instructions to give 100% scheme benefits

He directed the officials to make 100% cards under the Ayushman Bharat scheme. Farmers deprived of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi should be benefited soon. Ensure tap water supply under Jal Jeevan Mission

While discussing the progress of Jal Jeevan Mission, the Governor directed to ensure supply of pure drinking water through tap to every house in Sompuri. He asked to give priority to measures like rain water harvesting, soak pits and conservation of traditional water sources to maintain the continuity of water sources.

Call for tree plantation under ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign

The Governor urged to plant as many trees as possible in all government buildings like schools, Anganwadis, Panchayat Bhawans and health centers under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign. He described it as a sensitive initiative related to both environment and motherhood. Instructions to prevent dropouts in education

Taking information about children who have left school, the Governor asked to take concrete initiatives to connect such children to school again. He also appealed to make the villagers literate, so that they can at least write their names.

Appreciation of women groups

The Governor appreciated the work being done by self-help groups and directed the officials to further strengthen their economic condition by providing necessary resources and training to the groups. Governor Ramen Deka gave clear instructions to the officials that information about all the development works going on in village Sonpuri will be taken within three months. He said that if any deficiency or obstacle is found in any scheme, it will be removed immediately and quality work will be ensured.
