Informer gave information, Ganja smuggling is being done from Bolero, police caught siege

Bastar. On the border of Chhattisgarh-Odisha state, the Bastar police has seized 75 kg of hemp worth about Rs 7 lakh 50 thousand. It is being told that hemp was being smuggled from the Bolero vehicle. The smugglers were bringing the ganja from Odisha by hiding it in three big plastic bags. Bastar police arrested 5 smugglers as soon as they crossed the border on the information of the informer. The matter pertains to Nagarnar police station area of the district. According to information, the police had received information that a large quantity of ganja was to be smuggled through a Bolero vehicle. On the basis of which the soldiers of Nagarnar police station were put on duty at the CG-Odisha border. Vehicles coming from Odisha were being searched. Meanwhile, a Bolero from Odisha was coming towards Jagdalpur. The police stopped the car. 5 people were sitting in the vehicle. On questioning, they revealed their names as Nityanand Namah (35), Tapan Das (40), Chiranjeet Mandal (27), Sampat Nag (37) and Naresh Rai (22). All are residents of Odisha. After which the police searched the vehicle. Three plastic sacks were kept on the rear seat of the vehicle. The soldiers searched the sacks. Out of which 75 kg ganja was recovered. After which the police caught the five accused. On enquiry, everyone told that the ganja was being brought from Odisha. All have been produced in the court and sent to jail.
