Industry is changing, women are being shown as heroes: Alaya F

Mumbai (IANS) | Actress Alaya F is currently seen playing the lead role of reporting intern Radhika in the supernatural thriller film ‘U-Turn’. His role has been assigned the task of investigating accidents that happen at a U-turn on a particular flyover. He added that there is a lot of pressure playing the lead role in any project as the makers expect a lot from the actor, there is an added pressure on him.

Alaya said she is happy to be a part of a cinema where more and more projects are being built around female characters.

She added: There is a lot of pressure, I won’t lie, but sometimes you have to jump into it. I was worried about this but then you remind yourself that you are dealing with a personality like Ekta ma’am who is a strong and powerful boss lady in this industry. Gender biases or roles never affected her personality. It doesn’t apply to them.

Describing more about producer Ekta Kapoor, Alaya said: She has been a boss lady for so long. She never lets things like fear, ego dominate her.

Alaya made her acting debut in 2020 with the comedy film ‘Jawaani Jaaneman’, and later went on to appear in ‘Freddy’, ‘Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat’, and ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’, ‘Shri’ and ‘Ek Aur He is also a part of the project ‘Gazab Kahani’.

The actress further added that things are changing in the industry and nowadays many films feature female actors as heroes.

He said, right from my first film, I am really grateful for being offered wonderful and clean characters in each of my films. It’s a blessing. This is the best generation where there are movies.
