Indore: Volunteers turn New Year celebrations into emotional moments for the elderly

Madhya Pradesh: As the calendar turned to 2026, celebrations at old-age homes took on a quieter and deeper meaning, where time passes slowly but emotions run deep.
Away from fireworks and parties, the New Year arrived with warm smiles, sweet conversations, and unspoken gratitude. For many seniors, it wasn’t just a change of date, but a reminder that they were seen, remembered, and valued.
At Rajasthani Aashiyana on Airport Road, the morning began with music sung by residents themselves, welcoming the year with trembling but hopeful voices. Volunteers from social and religious groups joined 45 people for lunch, turning an otherwise ordinary day into one filled with connection and respect.
