Indore: Traffic police took action against 591 Bike riders for not wearing helmets.

Madhya Pradesh: Police on Wednesday said that the traffic police launched a special drive against traffic violators and took action against two-wheeler riders without helmets, those parking vehicles in no-parking zones, and e-rickshaw drivers violating rules.

According to the police, during this drive, action was taken against 591 two-wheeler riders for not wearing helmets. The traffic police emphasized that wearing a helmet is crucial for the safety of riders and their families, as head injuries are a major cause of death in road accidents.

Another team took action against vehicles parked in no-parking zones. During this drive, 112 vehicles were found illegally parked on main roads, market areas, and busy intersections, causing traffic congestion and inconvenience to the public. Fines were collected from drivers of illegally parked auto-rickshaws, e-rickshaws, cars, and buses, and from vehicles obstructing traffic. Shopkeepers and establishments were also informed through announcements to use only designated parking spaces.

In another part of the drive, action was taken against auto and e-rickshaw drivers. Approximately 41 auto and e-rickshaw drivers were fined for violating traffic rules such as driving on restricted routes, driving on one-way streets, overloading, and illegal parking. Police appealed to the public to always wear helmets while riding two-wheelers, park vehicles only in designated parking areas, and follow all traffic rules.
