Indore: Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargav hoisted the tricolor flag at IMC, and honored officials and citizens.
Madhya Pradesh: The 77th Republic Day was celebrated with patriotic fervor at the Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) headquarters in Indore, where Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargav hoisted the national flag. The ceremony was attended by Municipal Commissioner Kshitij Singhal, elected representatives, senior officials, councilors, heads of departments, and a large number of municipal employees.
Following the flag hoisting, the Mayor, along with the Commissioner and elected representatives, honored outstanding municipal officers and employees, as well as prominent citizens who have made significant contributions to the welfare and development of the city. The awardees were presented with certificates of appreciation and mementos.
Addressing the gathering, Mayor Bhargav said that Republic Day is not just a celebration of the Constitution, but also a reminder that India is governed by strong systems, values, and democratic principles. He said, “January 26th teaches us that the country is not run by individuals, but by the strength of the Constitution and robust institutions.”
