Indore: Learn to check adulteration from mobile food testing lab

Madhya Pradesh: The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has launched a new awareness campaign in which a mobile food testing lab will educate customers and food stall owners on simple methods to detect adulteration in food.
The campaign began on Thursday when the mobile testing lab visited Indore’s famous 56 Dukaan and informed customers and food stall owners about simple, home-based methods for adulteration. People were trained on how to identify suspicious items and understand basic testing steps. During the program, the mobile lab tested 30 food samples on the spot.
The mobile food testing lab will continue to visit various areas to raise awareness under the Food Safety and Standards Act 2006. Samples will be collected from various food outlets and tested immediately in the mobile lab.
The awareness program will be conducted in various parts of the city. On Friday, the mobile lab will reach Hub Chowpatty in the Vijay Nagar area. The events will take place near Bengali Square on January 4, near Zodiac Mall on January 6, at Hatod Main Market on January 7, at Khudel Main Market on January 8, and near Betma Bus Stand on January 9. The events will take place from 1 to 4 pm at all locations.
