Indore: Heart patient dies after driving while drowsy; 7 injured in Indore-Khandwa road collision

Madhya Pradesh: A 50-year-old heart patient, who was being taken to Indore for emergency treatment, died in a head-on collision on the Indore-Khandwa road on Monday morning. A couple from Mumbai are also among the injured.

Tejaji Nagar police said the accident occurred around 8:30 am near Umrikheda area in Umrikheda (Tejaji Nagar border). A sedan car traveling from Ujjain to Omkareshwar reportedly dozed off and crossed into the opposite lane and collided with an MUV coming from Sanawad. The collision crushed the front portions of both vehicles, causing panic among passersby who informed the police and ambulance service. Officials have launched an investigation and urged drivers to avoid long journeys without rest.
