Indore: Deadline for submitting evidence of Bhagirathpura incident extended

Madhya Pradesh: The deadline for submitting evidence and documents related to the Bhagirathpura incident to a one-member judicial inquiry committee has been extended to April 1.

A one-member inquiry commission, headed by former Madhya Pradesh High Court judge Justice Sushil Kumar Gupta, is investigating water pollution and the resulting public health problems in the Bhagirathpura area of the city.

The inquiry commission had sought evidence, documents, affidavits, and representations from the public until February 28. The commission has decided to extend the deadline due to requests for extensions from individual citizens, affected families, and organizations, and to gather more facts.

Interested individuals and organizations can now submit their objections, representations, documents, or evidence until April 1. Written applications and affidavits can be submitted to the commission’s office in person or by registered or speed post. Self-attested copies of the relevant documents must be attached to each representation. The Commission will decide whether to consider a late submission.

All concerned are requested to submit their views, along with available facts and records, within the stipulated time to ensure a fair, thorough, and factually accurate investigation process. The office address of the Inquiry Commission is Scheme-140, RCM-10, First Floor, Anand Van, Indore.
