IndiGo chaos in Indore: 4 flights cancelled on the first day of 2026

Madhya Pradesh: Passengers at Indore’s Devi Ahilyabai Holkar (DABH) Airport spent the first day of the New Year canceling their air tickets and planning new travel plans after four IndiGo flights were cancelled on Thursday.

IndiGo, the country’s leading private airline, has been cancelling flights from Indore since the beginning of December due to crew shortages and operational reasons.

Sources said on Thursday that IndiGo cancelled a Hyderabad-Indore flight, which landed at DABH Airport at 6:50 am, and a return flight to Hyderabad, which departed at 7:25 am. Another cancelled flight was from Delhi to Indore. The flight landed at Indore Airport at 7:10 am, and the return flight departed at 7:40 am.

Sources said that due to changes in flight staff working hours imposed by the government, IndiGo began canceling flights on December 1, citing a shortage of crew members. Given the inconvenience to passengers, the government extended the implementation of the rules until February, but the airline is still canceling flights almost daily.
