Maharashtra: On the orders of Deputy Commissioner of Police Atul Zende, Vishnunagar police on Wednesday demolished a liquor den that had been operating for a few years near Hanuman temple in Devichapra, Dombivali West. Customers used to come to this den day and night to buy and drink liquor. After drinking liquor, they used to create a ruckus in the area. This was disturbing the peace at night. Liquor shop operator Machhindra Chiman Patil (40) had started a liquor shop selling Indian and foreign liquor in hotel style by building a house in front of Chiman Patil’s house behind Hanuman temple in Devichapra. Customers used to come to this den day and night to buy and drink liquor. After drinking liquor, there used to be fights among the customers of this area and they used to create a ruckus there by fighting. On Wednesday afternoon, Assistant Police Inspector More, Lokhande and Constable Shakeel Jamadar raided Machhindra Patil’s liquor shop and demolished it. The police seized bottles of Imperial Blue Superior Green Whiskey and McDowell Supreme Whiskey from this shop. Apart from this, country liquor was also seized.
