Independence Day celebrated with gaiety in Balrampur-Ramanujganj

Balrampur: Independence Day was celebrated with dignity and gaiety in Balrampur-Ramanujganj district. In the main Independence Day function organized at the Police Line Ground in Balrampur, Women and Child Development and Social Welfare Minister Laxmi Rajwada hoisted the flag and took the salute of the parade and read the message sent by Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai to the people of the state. Minister Laxmi Rajwada hoisted the flag at the venue at 9 am.

The national anthem was presented along with the flag hoisting. After the flag hoisting, Chief Guest Rajwada inspected the parade along with Collector Remigius Ekka and Superintendent of Police Rajesh Agarwal and read the message of the Chief Minister. After that, the Chief Guest released white doves, a symbol of peace, and colorful balloons, a symbol of the tricolor, into the sky on the stage. The contingents of Chhattisgarh Armed Force, District Police Force, City Army, Women Police Force involved in the parade saluted the national tricolour by firing in joy.

An attractive march past was performed in the ceremony, marching in step to patriotic tunes. After the march past, the chief guest Mrs. Rajwada got introduced to all the parade commanders. Thereafter, she honoured the family members of the martyrs by giving them sal and coconut.

In the ceremony, school students presented cultural programmes coloured in the colours of patriotism and folk songs, threading pearls of patriotism, brotherhood and unity in diversity.

The chief guest of the ceremony, Rajwada, honoured the winners of the march past and cultural programmes by presenting them shields. He honoured 88 officers and employees of various departments of the district who did excellent work by presenting them certificates. At the end of the programme, the Collector and Superintendent of Police presented a memento to the chief guest Mrs. Rajwada.
