In early 90s, directors used to give idea of scenes without script: Ajay Devgan
Mumbai, (IANS) | Bollywood actor Ajay Devgan remembers the 90s and shared how he did many films even without a script. He also shared his experiences when writers used to come to narrate the story and he used to present his script as if he was giving an audition. Ajay, who has given many hits in the 90s including ‘Phool Aur Kaante’, ‘Jigar’, ‘Suhaag’, ‘Diljale’, ‘Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha’, ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ among others. Comparing that period with today, he said that many times he was given information about a particular scene without any specific script.
He added: In the early 90s, it was not uncommon for directors to give actors a general idea of a scene and then allow them to improvise their lines and actions without a specific script. I have also acted in such films.
Ajay is coming on ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ along with Tabu and Deepak Dobriyal to promote his film ‘Bhola’. He shared his experience that how many times the writers enact the entire scene while explaining to the actor as if he is auditioning.
He said: I have experienced this many times where the director or the writer has come to me and started narrating the story. However, during narration, he began acting out certain scenes as if he himself was auditioning for the role.
