Important meeting was going on in Collectorate, villagers surrounded it, FIR registered

Khairagarh. Demonstration in the district and gheraoing the district office without any information proved costly for the villagers. An FIR has been lodged at Khairagarh police station against the people who entered the district office unauthorized and raised slogans inside the premises and obstructed the government work. The whole matter is of District Office Khairagarh.

The secretary in charge was holding a working meeting of all the departments. During this time, some villagers of village Vicharpur, Pandariya, Sandi suddenly surrounded the Collectorate without any prior notice and started shouting slogans. The villagers had reached the Collectorate to protest against the opening of a cement factory in their area, but the Secretary in-charge in the district office was holding a meeting of all the departments, due to which Collector Chandrakant Verma could not meet the villagers. Khairagarh SDM Tankeshwar Sahu pacified the protesters and dispersed them there. But as soon as the in-charge secretary left the office, everyone again gathered at the main gate of the district office and started deliberately trying to surround it. The officers present at the spot kept giving advice to the crowd, but the crowd was not showing any signs of understanding. The crowd surrounded the main gate of the office and was continuously raising slogans against the district administration.
