Important appointments in Congress: Lakheshwar Baghel becomes Deputy Leader of Opposition, Daleshwar Sahu Chief Whip and Dilip Lahariya Deputy Whip

Raipur. The Chhattisgarh Congress has announced appointments to key positions in the Assembly. Bastar Congress MLA Lakheshwar Baghel has been appointed Deputy Leader of the Opposition. The party has also appointed Daleshwar Sahu as Chief Whip and Dilip Lahariya as Deputy Whip. According to the party, these appointments were made with the consent and approval of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge. These appointments are aimed at strengthening the Congress’s functioning in the Assembly and strengthening the party organization. As Deputy Leader of the Opposition, Lakheshwar Baghel will now effectively represent the opposition’s voice in the Assembly and monitor the government’s functioning.

Chief Whip Daleshwar Sahu will be responsible for uniting party members, maintaining discipline in meetings, and implementing strategy in the Assembly. Party sources said that these appointments will strengthen the Congress party’s position in the Assembly and strengthen its role as an opposition party in the upcoming sessions. These appointments will also maintain organizational balance within the party and provide opportunities for MLAs from various regions to take leadership roles.
