IMD sounds yellow warning for dense fog in Odisha for next three days
Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar-based regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) today issued a yellow warning for dense fog in Odisha for next three days.
According to the weather department, dense fog, shallow to moderate fog and dry weather is very likely to prevail over different districts of Odisha for the next three days.

Day 1 (Valid upto 8.30 AM of 21.01.2025):
Yellow Warning: Dense fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Kendrapada and Kandhamal.
Shallow to moderate fog very likely to occur at a few places at the early morning over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Kalahandi, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur,Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Kendrapada, and Kandhamal.
Dry weather very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.
Day 2 (Valid from 8.30 AM of 21.01.2025 to 8.30 AM of 22.01.2025):
Yellow Warning: Dense fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Kendrapada and Kandhamal.
Shallow to moderate fog very likely to occur at a few places at the early morning over the districts of South Coastal Odisha, Koraput, Malkangiri, Kalahandi, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Kendrapada and Kandhamal.
Dry weather very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.
Day 3 (Valid from 8.30 AM of 22.01.2025 to 8.30 AM of 23.01.2025):
Yellow Warning (Be aware) Dense fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam and Gajapati.
Shallow to moderate fog very likely to occur at a few places at the early morning over the districts of Coastal Odisha, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Koraput, Keonjhargarh, Mayurbhanj, Angul and Dhenkanal.
Dry weather very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.
The highest maximum temperature of 32.4°C was recorded at Nuapada and the lowest minimum temperature of 7.0°C was recorded at Phulbani in the plains of Odisha, informed IMD.
Forecasting about the temperature, the IMD said that no large change will take place in minimum temperature (night temperature) for next two days and thereafter rise by 2 to 4 oC during subsequent three days over the districts of Odisha.
