IMD issues yellow alert of thunderstorm and lightning in 13 districts of Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The regional center of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert of thunderstorm and lightning in 13 districts of Odisha. The Meteorological Department has also predicted that there will be no change in the temperature in the next five days. According to the data given by the Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar, today there is a possibility of thunderstorm with lightning with strong winds reaching 40-50 kmph in some districts of Odisha and heavy rain over coastal Odisha. Is. North or at two places in Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Keonjhar, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Ganjam and Gajapati districts. Thunderstorm with lightning accompanied by strong surface wind speed of 30-40 kmph is likely at one or two places over Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh districts. Sharing information about weather updates, Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar tweeted, “Lightning along with strong wind is likely over districts of Odisha during next 4-5 days.” Apart from this, the Meteorological Department has advised people to keep an eye on the worsening conditions and be prepared to move to safe places to avoid lightning.
