Illegal weapons manufacturing factory busted, accused arrested
Barabanki: Barabanki police of Uttar Pradesh has busted a factory manufacturing illegal weapons. Also, the police has arrested an accused. Police have recovered 16 manufactured weapons, 5 semi-finished weapons, cartridges and a large quantity of weapon making equipment from the spot. Police say that these weapons were being made for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
The matter is under Deva Kotwali. According to the police, on the information of an informer, the illegal factory was busted and the accused Kalika Prasad was arrested. The accused charges two and a half to three thousand rupees for making a new weapon. He had come to make weapons at the behest of his friend Jai Singh. The police team is conducting raids to arrest the wanted accused Jaisingh.
Superintendent of Police Dinesh Singh said that on interrogating the accused, it has come to light that Kalika, along with his other associate Jai Singh, used to make illegal weapons for a long time and sell them as per demand. If someone from districts Kheri, Sitapur, Barabanki etc. called the accused to make weapons, then these people used to make weapons at night in some isolated place.
The Superintendent of Police further said, the accused first bought tawa (roti maker), thick sheet from the iron shops, bicycle wheel spokes, mudguard spokes from the bicycle shop, screws, screws, iron pipe, wood and wood from the hardware shop. He used to buy springs, wheel spokes etc. and other items from the motorcycle parts shop. Then he used to work in making illegal weapons.
