Illegal transportation of sand, Hiva and 10 tractors seized
Mungeli. A joint team of the Mineral, Revenue and Police Department has taken action on the continuous complaints of illegal mining and transportation of minerals in the district. A Hiva and 10 tractors have been seized by raiding the Sargaon area.
It is being told that the team raided the Sargaon area after receiving information from various places. During this period, Hiva-CG 11-BE-3111 (Driver- Vishnu Sahu), Tractor-CG 11-AR-8703 (Driver- Chhannu Dhruv), CG 28-H-9967 (Driver- Sundar Lal Dhruv), CG 28-L-7426 (Driver- Ashwani Kaushal), Sonalika Sold (Driver- Lokesh Mahilang), CG 10-D-6248 (Driver- Lucky Sahu), CG 28-E-3654 (Driver- Ramesh Sahu), CG 31-A-2866 (Driver- Bahorik Nishad), CG 10-BR-3337 (Driver- Gopal Nishad), CG 28-R-1706 (Driver- Mukesh Nishad) and CG 28-P-2690 (Driver- Hemant Sahu) were found illegally transporting sand. The joint team stopped the vehicles on the spot and seized them. All the vehicles have been kept in police custody at Sargaon police station. Along with this, legal action is being taken under the Mineral Act.
Collector Rahul Dev has said that the administrative team is continuously active to curb illegal mineral excavation and transportation in the district. Strict action will be taken against the persons involved in such activities.
