Illegal construction next to the police station, court ordered action

Mahasamund. In Pithora of the district, illegal construction is being done by occupying the precious land of the Mission. The United Church of North India Trust Association filed a complaint in the Tehsil Court with evidence of ground documents. The Tesildar gave the first stay on June 14, 2023 and instructed the Thanedar to take action. The police have not taken action even after the site is next to the police station. Accused occupants Chandra Prabhakar and Chandra Bhushan are now getting illegal construction done faster.

UCNITA’s Chhattisgarh power of attorney holder Bishop Ajay Umesh James and Secretary Nitin Lawrence have again complained to the authorities and demanded action. In the complaint, the officials of UCNIT said that in violation of the order of the court, the construction of illegal houses is being done at a rapid pace. It is the responsibility and jurisdiction of the Thanedar of Pithora to stop this. He has demanded to register an FIR against both the occupants and establish the crime and present both the accused in the court along with it. Goods used in illegal construction, sand ballast, rods, wood, cement etc. should also be confiscated as per rules. It may be known that in this case even the Tehsildar has not yet summoned the report of the implementation of the order from the Thanedar. There is a lot of anger in the Christian community regarding this episode. Warned of protest and gherao in Raipur, Pithora and Mahasamund if no action is taken.
