IG Amresh Mishra held a meeting of ASP and DSP

Raipur. IG Amresh Kumar Mishra organized a meeting in two shifts. In the first shift, Senior Superintendent of Police of Raipur district and all Additional Superintendents of Police and other gazetted officers were present. In the meeting, necessary guidelines were given to the officers to deal with the challenges of the capital police. Gazetted officers were instructed to work in a planned manner, to increase efficiency and do quality supervision, to review each incident and give appropriate instructions to subordinate officers / employees, not to limit themselves to mere supervision of the work of police stations but to improve the quality of work. 1

All Superintendents of Police, Additional Superintendents of Police and other gazetted officers of Raipur range participated in the second shift meeting. In this meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding the upcoming urban / rural body elections, pending crimes, NDPS Act cases, cyber crime traffic system etc. and guidelines were given. Necessary instructions were given to make all necessary preparations for fair and peaceful conduct of the upcoming urban/rural body elections, to ensure compliance of model code of conduct, to deposit arms, to take effective action against illegal liquor and to maintain strong law and order. Along with this, instructions were given to prepare ward/village wise dossiers and to take preventive action against anti-social elements and those creating disturbance in the elections and to get them bound over.

During the meeting, pending crimes for more than a year, cases related to missing minor boy/girl, NDPS cases, cyber related crimes were reviewed. Instructions were given to resolve pending crimes and cases related to missing minor boy/girl by running a campaign under the guidance of the supervisory officer. Instructions were given to promptly resolve complaints related to cyber crime and complaints received in NCCR portal, to promote cyber helpline 1930 as much as possible and to make the general public aware. Instructions were given to conduct financial investigation in NDPS cases and to confiscate seized vehicles and auction them, to attach property acquired from crime and to take action under NDPS against habitual criminals. Instructions were given to organize workshops at the district level to train officers/employees for quality investigation of the above cases. Along with this, instructions were given to take appropriate action for Naxal eradication.

Instructions were given to traffic officers to take necessary steps to strengthen the city’s traffic system and reduce accidents. Instructions were given to take strict action against drunk drivers, speeding drivers, illegal parking, without helmet. All gazetted officers were also instructed to take this action in their section area.

After reviewing Naxal activities, Inspector General of Police, Raipur Range was instructed to take effective action in Naxal campaign, identify the supporters who provide funding/supply to Naxalites and take action against them. Along with this, instructions were given to the security forces to take extra caution in Naxal affected areas.
