If there is ruckus in Raipur then it will not be good, strict action will be taken

Raipur. Municipal Corporation Commissioner Mayank Chaturvedi and in-charge Superintendent of Police G.R. regarding the New Year events to be held in the capital on the evening of 31st December and law and order in the city.

Thakur took the meeting. In the meeting, Chaturvedi said that today tight security arrangements should be made at all the intersections inside and outside the capital like Naya Raipur, Ram Mandir Road, Marine Drive. There will be a crackdown on late night parties. Police in plain uniform will be deployed around such restaurants and hotels. Also, surveillance will be done through CCTV cameras. If anyone is found creating ruckus or disrupting peace, strict action will be taken immediately.

Chaturvedi said that all bars or clubs will close as per the stipulated time. If they are found open after the stipulated time, then action will be taken against them and their license will be suspended and the process of cancellation will also be done. FL-5 (a) By taking action against the hotel or venue taking the license, a ban will be imposed on taking the license in future. He said that he himself, Superintendent of Police, ADM, SDM, Tehsildar along with senior police officers, ASP, CSP and police station in-charge will form a team and patrol their respective areas and take action against anti-social elements.

Municipal Corporation Commissioner Mayank Chaturvedi said that if anyone is caught driving under the influence of alcohol, immediate action will be taken and the vehicle will be confiscated. Strict checking will be done with breath analyzer at intersections. Police will also take action against those caught speeding, honking loudly and driving more than two passengers on a two-wheeler.

Chaturvedi said that ambulance and team of doctors will be deployed for medical assistance in case of emergency and will help if required. Shri Chaturvedi gave instructions to organize security and traffic at major temples and tourist places including Naya Raipur on the morning of New Year.


In-charge SP G.R. Thakur said that all the police officers should patrol continuously with the patrolling team and take immediate action against the elements disturbing law and order. ADM, SDM and various police officers were present in the meeting.
