If the central government is not giving the corona vaccine, then the state government itself will buy it: Nitish
Patna, (IANS) | Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday gave clear instructions to the officials of the health department that if the central government is not providing the corona vaccine, then the state government should continue vaccinating people by purchasing the corona vaccine on its own.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar held a high-level review meeting on Monday regarding the increasing cases of Corona in the state.
During the review, the Chief Minister said that the cases of corona infection are increasing in some states of the country. For the last two-three days, cases of corona infection have also increased in Bihar. A large number of corona testing is still being done daily in Bihar.
He said that at present one-third of the corona tests being done in the whole country are being done in Bihar. The average test of corona on a population of 10 lakh in the country is close to 6 lakh, while in Bihar the average test of corona on a population of 10 lakh is more than 8 lakh.
Instructing the officers, the Chief Minister said that maximum testing should be done in the entire state. The more the investigation, the more cases of corona infection will be detected. He clearly said that whether the cases of corona increase or decrease, continue the continuous investigation of corona.
He also instructed to make complete arrangements for the treatment of patients in the hospitals and to keep all types of medicines and equipment available. People should use masks in crowded places. Everyone has to be alert and active.
The Chief Minister should get mock drills done in all the hospitals of the state and keep all kinds of preparations.
Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, Finance, Commercial Taxes and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Deepak Kumar, Chief Secretary Amir Subhani, Health Department Secretary Sanjay Kumar Singh were present in the meeting.
