I spoke in Tamil in the Rajya Sabha: Kamal Haasan

Tamil Nadu: Makkal Needhi Maiam party leader and MP Kamal Haasan said that he had expressed valid points as a Tamil in the Rajya Sabha (Upper House of Parliament).

Speaking to reporters at Chennai Airport on Friday, he said:

“A good idea should be debated. As a Tamil, I believe I have put forward a valid point of view. Those who reject it should discuss it. They will understand the truth through the debate.

Such discussions should continue in a democratic country. My alliance is with all of India. India’s interest is my interest. Ideology is important. I am moving in that direction.”

He added that he could not comment on alliances for the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections at this time.
