Hyderabad: Wife and lover arrested for slitting husband’s throat and stabbing him to death

Hyderabad: Shadnagar police have solved the murder case of A Yadaiah (32) which took place about two months ago and arrested his wife and her lover on Thursday for murder. According to the police, Yadaiah, a construction worker from Farooqnagar in Shadnagar, and his wife Mounika were married about eight years ago. The two often quarrelled over petty issues. Following this, Yadaiah also got addicted to alcohol. During this time, Mounika gradually became close to him and gradually had an extramarital affair with Ashok Kumar, who worked in a construction unit. As the dispute between the couple escalated, Mounika and Ashok decided to kill Yadaiah. He told Ashok about the plot and he agreed,” said the police.
On February 18, after work, Ashok called Yadaiya for a liquor party. He picked him up and took him to a secluded spot near Gudur in Kothur on the outskirts of the city, where they slit Yadaiya’s throat and stabbed him to death. After confirming that Yadaiya was dead, they dumped the body in a pit and set it on fire to destroy evidence. The next day, Mounika staged a drama claiming that her husband who had gone to work did not return. She also lodged a missing person complaint. The Shadnagar police registered a case and began investigating. However, they did not find anything until local villagers informed them that Mounika and Ashok were living together in a house in Ayyappa Colony in Shadnagar. Both were detained and confessed to the murder. They were produced in court and sent to judicial custody.
