Hyderabad: Two arrested for involvement in murder

Hyderabad: Two people allegedly involved in the murder of a fruit vendor in Kalapathar were arrested by the police on Thursday. The arrested persons were identified as Shaikh Mehmood alias Dabla (40) of Vattepally and Mohammed Wasim (22) of Madina Colony Falaknuma. Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) P Sai Chaitanya said that Mahmood had lent Rs. Three months ago, he gave Rs 3,000 to the victim Afroz and demanded to return the amount as promised earlier. “Afroz did not return the money which angered Mehmood. Apart from this, Mehmood came to know that Afroz was spreading rumors against him publicly. On Friday night, Mehmood killed Afroz at Tadban intersection with the help of Wasim,” the DCP said. Mehmood is a listed criminal and was previously involved in six cases. He is a rowdy sheeter of Falaknuma police station.
