Hyderabad: Truck driver murdered by friends in Attapur

Hyderabad: A 40-year-old truck driver was allegedly murdered by his friends in Attapur on Saturday evening, June 8. The victim has been identified as Mohammed Layak of Suleman Nagar. He was called by his friends for a drink party near PVNR pillar no. 258. According to reports, after the liquor party got over, the accused, in a drunken state, slit his throat, killing him on the spot.

Speaking to Siasat.com, an official from Attapur police station said, “We suspect an old enmity between the victim and the accused. However, the real motive behind the murder is still unknown.” He further added, “A case has been registered and with the help of the clue team, we have collected evidence. Further investigation is underway.” The body has been sent to Osmania General Hospital for post-mortem.
