Hyderabad: Traffic home guard dies in road accident

Hyderabad: A home guard was killed and a constable injured when a truck hit their bike in Miyapur late on Monday night. According to information received, traffic home guard Simhachalam and constable Rajvardhan, who were on night duty, were reportedly taking a ‘U’ turn at Miyapur metro pillar no. 600 when the speeding truck hit them. Simhachalam sustained serious injuries in the accident and died on the spot, while another constable Rajvardhan was seriously injured and was rushed to a local hospital. Miyapur police have registered a case and are investigating.
