Hyderabad: Software employee kidnapped by unknown people

Hyderabad: A software employee was allegedly kidnapped by a group of unidentified persons in Khajaguda, Rayadurgam. Police gave this information on Friday. G.Surendra Babu, a resident of Kukatpally and working for a software company in the city, was with a friend near Care Hospital when four people came in a car and forcefully took him away. According to the police, the kidnappers had called Surendra Babu’s wife through the internet and demanded a ransom of Rs 50 lakh to free him. As soon as information about the kidnapping was received, Raidurgam police was alerted. He formed four special teams to track the suspects. While one team is working on the CCTV images collected in and around the location, other teams are working to trace the car used in the crime with the help of the registration number and the location of the mobile phone tower of the residence . Sources said Surendra Babu contacted the police and traced their location during the night. The reason for kidnapping may be a financial dispute. However, the police did not confirm this.
