Hyderabad: Software employee commits suicide by jumping into Durgam Cheruvu

Hyderabad: A software employee jumping into Durgam Cheruvu committed suicide. Balaji (25), a resident of Musheerabad, worked with a software firm in Madhapur. According to reports, Balaji went to office as usual on July 24 but did not return. When his worried family members found him missing, they approached the Raidurgam police the next day and lodged a complaint.

The police registered a missing person case and found that Balaji’s mobile phone was switched off. His friends also had no information. When the police inquired at Balaji’s company, they found that he had gone out at 8:30 pm on July 24. CCTV cameras then showed that he had gone towards the Durgam Cheruvu cable bridge. His body was recovered from the lake on Friday evening. The police identified him on the basis of his identity card. Preliminary investigations revealed that he committed suicide due to a love affair. The body has been sent to Osmania Hospital for post-mortem. The case is under investigation.
