Hyderabad: Six-year-old girl sexually assaulted in Shamshabad

Hyderabad: A six-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by a man in Shamshabad on Monday night. The victim lives with her parents in Siddhanti village in Shamshabad, who are daily wage labourers. The suspect, Anjaneyulu, who hails from Mahabubnagar district, lives in the same area near the victim’s house. “On Monday, when the suspect’s wife had gone out for some work, Anjaneyulu took the girl inside the house and sexually assaulted her,” an official from the RGI Airport police station said. Locals saw the girl crying and caught hold of Anjaneyulu and handed him over to the police. The girl was rushed to a hospital where she is undergoing treatment. The police have taken Anjaneyulu into custody and registered a case against him. Investigation is underway.
