Hyderabad: One person arrested for selling stale animal feces

Hyderabad: The team of Task Force (South-East) along with GHMC officials raided a sheep and goat meat store in Dabeerpura on Friday and arrested a person for illegally preserving and selling stale animal meat. The officials seized 2 quintals of sheep and goat meat stores worth Rs 1.5 lakh. The arrested person was identified as meat seller Mohammed Misbahuddin (24), a resident of Dabeerpura, who runs this store.
Misbahuddin was found illegally procuring sheep and goat meat stocks at cheap prices from the wholesale market and preserving them in an unhygienic manner at his shop, police said. He further used to supply these meat stocks to hotels, functions, events and put human lives at risk. Based on a tip-off, police raided the premises and arrested Misbahuddin. Besides, stocks of meat including legs, heads, tongues, brains, kidneys and livers of goats and sheep were seized, worth a total of Rs 1.5 lakh.
