Hyderabad: MLC Kavita welcomes Supreme Court’s verdict on Bilkis Bano case convicts
Hyderabad: BRS MLC Kavitha on Monday welcomed with satisfaction the Supreme Court verdict which quashed the pardon of those convicted in the Bilkis Bano case.
She published, “Justice prevails, every verdict of this type seems like an important example that our country supports women.”
In early August 2022, Kavita wrote a letter to the then Chairman of the Supreme Court of India, NV Ramana, protesting the release of 11 convicts in the 2002 Bilkis Bano case.
