Hyderabad: IMD predicts zero cold wave days in Telangana in January

Hyderabad: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) in its Perspective Monthly Rainfall and Temperature has predicted significant deviation from the norm for Telangana this January. According to the information published by IMD, no cold wave event is expected in the state during the entire January, and it is possible that the minimum temperature will remain well above normal levels. The IMD report particularly highlights the expectation of above normal rainfall over Telangana for January, with this pattern projected to extend through March. The prediction comes hot on the heels of a week-long trend in which the average minimum temperature in Hyderabad has remained consistently above the seasonal average. The minimum temperature in the city on Tuesday was around 17.4 degrees Celsius, a sharp contrast to the normal 14.9 degrees Celsius expected at this time of the year. Looking ahead, IMD-Hyderabad predicts this trend to continue, and predicts that the minimum temperature will fluctuate between 17 to 18 degrees Celsius during the next five days. Additionally, fog is expected during the morning hours during this period.
