Hyderabad: Illegal construction outside Jagan’s house demolished

Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) on Saturday demolished illegal construction in front of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s residence at Lotus Pond. The unauthorised construction was done for his security and was causing inconvenience to people.

According to GHMC officials, the rooms outside his house were encroaching on the road and were demolished after receiving several complaints. Local police were also present along with municipal officials when the construction was demolished. While local residents welcomed the action, the leader’s supporters argued that the rooms were necessary for his security. The YSRCP leader recently lost the assembly elections in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh to the TDP, BJP and Jana Sena alliance.
