Hyderabad: Food for inmates of OU Ladies Hostel, insects found in lunch
Hyderabad: What was apparently a routine gastronomic experience turned into a nightmare for the recluses of Osmania University Ladies Hostel when they found guests in the food served at lunch on Tuesday.
This problem led to students protesting with wasp-infested plates in front of their dorms on campus. The students asked the university administration how they should eat food full of insects.
The protesting students said they were not serving hygienic food and added that the problem of insects in food had been reported to the administration in the last two or three months. However, the petitions piled up.
The students allege that the administration has threatened to cancel their admission if they face any problem. They demanded an immediate solution to the problem and wanted the administration to immediately replace hostel director Kalyan Lakshmi from her duties.
