Hyderabad: Elderly woman robbed in Varasiguda

Hyderabad: Unknown people held an elderly woman hostage and looted her house in Parsigutta, Warsiguda on Friday. On Friday, around 2 pm, two unidentified assailants approached the woman, Parijatham (56), posing as tenants looking for a vacant house. According to the police, the two entered the house on the pretext of questioning and forcibly closed the door. They took away valuables from the house after holding the woman hostage. Police said the two looted 30 grams of gold, Rs 6,000 in cash and a mobile phone. Based on the complaint, the Warsiguda police have registered a case and are investigating.
