Hyderabad: Diamonds worth more than Rs 6 crore seized in RGIA

Hyderabad: Two passengers stopped and 5569.64 carat diamonds worth Rs 6.03 crore seized, customs officials said here. , Friday.

The incident took place on January 10, but came to light late.

Upon questioning and examining the luggage of the passengers, officials found diamonds hidden in zipped plastic pouches wrapped in white paper in chocolate packets.

Both the passengers were arrested and further investigation is underway.
