Hyderabad: Case registered against NRI for molesting woman

Hyderabad: The Jubilee Hills police have registered a case against an NRI who pressured a woman for marriage and threatened to expose her by telling her that he had earlier worked as a dancer in Dubai and would also make their private photographs public. The 38-year-old married woman, who lives in Jubilee Hills, went to Dubai six years ago, where she worked as a dancer in a pub for two years. At that time, the suspect, Naushad Abubacker, met her and the two became friends.

According to information received, after returning to India after two years, Naushad started harassing the woman on phone and started blackmailing her by saying that he would send her photographs with him to her husband. The worried married woman once went to Dubai and met him. He insisted that she delete his photographs and videos and delete them. Meanwhile, Abubacker, who recently came to India, called the woman and started pressuring her to leave her husband and children and come with him so that they could get married. He started blackmailing her and said that if she did not obey him, he would post her intimate pictures on social media. The victim lodged a complaint with the Jubilee Hills police on Thursday. A case has been registered and investigations are underway.
