Hyderabad: Case filed against three for HG’s death

Hyderabad: The Yacharam police have registered a case against three persons, including a woman, in connection with the death of M Venkatesh (35) on Sunday. Venkatesh, a resident of Gunugal in Yacharam of Rangareddy district and posted at the CAR headquarters, and his neighbour suspects had allegedly had a quarrel over the passage of a drain near his house on Sunday. During this, the suspects, identified as Prashant, Pawan and Yadamma, allegedly abused and assaulted him, causing injuries to his hand and chest. According to the police, Venkatesh first went to the police station and lodged a complaint.

However, while returning, he complained of chest pain and fainted. He was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Vanasthalipuram, where he later died during treatment. Based on the complaint of Venkatesh’s wife Swathi, the Yacharam police registered a case of culpable homicide and began investigations. Following the death, mild tension prevailed as Venkatesh’s family members took the body to the Yacharam police station and staged a protest. The officials pacified them. The incident also led to a traffic jam on the Nagarjuna Sagar Highway.
