Hyderabad: A speeding car ran over people sleeping on the sidewalk, one dead, two injured

Hyderabad: A speeding car ran over people sleeping on a footpath near Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital in the wee hours of Saturday, killing one person and injuring two others. Police suspect that the driver drove the car at high speed and recklessly and hit the footpath. According to information available, the incident occurred around 4 am when the car, which was headed towards Jubilee Hills, lost control and hit the footpath. At the same speed, the vehicle climbed the footpath and hit people sleeping on it. The victim and injured persons are yet to be identified. The car driver fled from the spot. Banjara Hills police are investigating the case. Nearby CCTV footage is being examined.
